Recognise This Geezer ?, by insite on Aug 27, 2007 13:35:41 GMT 1, There was a thread a few weeks back about source images but I couldn't find it so I'm starting another for this.
We put a DVD on the other night and during the opening sequence this flashed up and of course I shouted out "it's a Banksy", as you do(must be working though cos my other half knew which print ;D).The film was Sentinel (Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland) and the shot was part of the video taken of the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan, so it appears that the IFTL bloke is John Hinckley Jr and all the "law" are the secret service.
Thanks to the wonder of wikipedia I found the unedited video and yes the bloke with the '70's tach is all over it.

Prolly not that interesting but I thought it adds another layer to the onion that is a Banksy design ;D

Now I've seen the photo again I have to say the designs lost something IMO. For a moment I thought it might have been Hinkley on the floor and the imagery to illustrate the words "I fought the law" seemed even more potent. I mean there's not many bigger ways to fight the law than assassinating the president of the U.S.A. Turns out the blokes prolly an officer doing his job, oh well.
