PRINT RELEASE BUN FIGHTS - EASY SOLUTION..., by jboy on Aug 24, 2007 0:13:27 GMT 1, I was lucky enough (depending on how you look at it) to get tickets for the England v Russia match at Wembley.
To get these tickets - it puts you into a que on the FA.COM website and tells you your place, how many people are infront / behind you and how many have been sold. Its first come first served and it holds your place. It also counts down until its ready for you. There is also no need to F5 as it automatically refreshes on its own making it all self automated and not crashing itself.
This would be a perfect solution for websites such as POW and FAILE etc.
The lottery system sounds confusing - just get an automated que system - so then at least you know you can see if you are in with a chance of getting one or not and the damn thing not crashing and losing your place.

PRINT RELEASE BUN FIGHTS - EASY SOLUTION..., by shavemysoul on Aug 24, 2007 0:48:11 GMT 1, fair idea, but surely, people would be queuing to get on the site when it first launched this software and then stay there forever. or is it queued to a new page so you could only queue once the release page was put in place?

PRINT RELEASE BUN FIGHTS - EASY SOLUTION..., by jfury on Aug 24, 2007 12:38:03 GMT 1, it has taken years for the FA to get the system right (I am also a member and luckily got tickets allocated!) - probably to much of an expensive solution for POW but it does work well.

its a load of crap m8, i had it at the oval for the last day of the ashes when we won it back, the whole middle section of the new stand empty for an hour after lunch on the most exciting days cricket we've had in this country in my lifetime. corporate seats destroy atmospheres and ruin real fans chance of going to games. having said that i am off to watch england play cricket in bristol right now and in a corporate seat for free. nice. feel a bit of a hypocrite, but at least i like the game.
