In defence of POW, by pezlow on Aug 4, 2007 7:29:15 GMT 1, I see a lot of negativity on this board and a lot of it is directed at POW. I myself have been negative about them in the past but I thought it was about time to stick up for them. For these reasons:
Banksy release - Yes it is frustrating waiting all this time but part of that frustration is caused by people obsessing about it (including me on occasions). I think we all need to chill.
Eine Elton - If anyone hasn't taken the plunge yet BUY these prints. They are amazing in the flesh. Big as well. And only £150 each. Bargain. This release alone has restored a lot of my faith in POW.
Faile/Bast - You can still buy great faile and Bast prints (albeit unsigned) from POW for £25 and £20 respectively. This had got to be bargain of the century. Plus the last signed release from faile on POW was stunning. And £300, whilst a lot of money, was just the market price.
Blu/Eric the Dog/Zbiok - Ok so some of this is not to my taste. But full marks to POW for continuing to introduce new artists to us. They ought to get huge credit for taking these risks. And the Blu stuff is very interesting.
POW aren't perfect I know. Their shipping leaves a lot to be desired. But I think they are doing more stuff right than they are wrong.

In defence of POW, by brut on Aug 4, 2007 12:52:49 GMT 1, You're bang on the money with your remarks about pow pezlow. I first purchased prints from pow about four years ago now & have always found them very easy to deal with. I found my way to this forum in jan of 2006.This was a result of me being on the lookout for Banksy related topics. This in term came from me buying banksy prints from pow.I don't think i am the only one who arrived here in this round about way. I know of no other print house who would still sell a signed print by Banksy for 8 times less than it's market value. POW have a fair array of artist's & something for everyone. I don't like the pieces by blu or eric the dog but i am sure there are a few who do.I don't even like the David choe pieces & look how well they sold. POW were the first printhouse i dealt with & i still get as good a service from them now as i did 4 years ago. And finally a message for all the people who are sat at their pc forever refreshing & waiting for the new Banksy release,The sun is out,it is a beautiful day.Get out & get yourself some fresh air. I will keep guard for a while.

Well said brut, but lets remember that POW have already made it clear that the price they sell Banksy prints at, are at the request of Banksy.
Banksy wouldn't sell his prints at any other print house unless they sold them at that price.
I think in the future we will see more and more market value banksy prints, but from Laz

In defence of POW, by arcam on Aug 4, 2007 14:33:40 GMT 1, The customer service from Dora at POW is second to none. I also don't think their prices are bad either, Banksy aside, I still think £200 for the likes of Blu and £150 for an Eine are a fair price for what you get.
