It's so cheap too.
Prices at Elms started at £6k Inc. VAT.
Some of these are £500..!!
I've seen in the flesh and they're great little pieces.
A bit of nostalgia at a truly bargain price.

Bits of stitched material stretched over a box canvas.. doubt he's done anything other than design the material.. big rip off IMO

Typical post by you Nu.
Completely wrong as per usual, and in case you hadn't noticed, there are some very large canvases, sprayed by hand, for £3k.
But hardly any surprise you don't like them is it. Stick to metal poles coming out the ground...more your kinda thing.

Heads Up, by neaksmate on Jul 18, 2007 0:21:01 GMT 1, P.S. I'm finding it hard to believe, that you had to point out that Futura didn't put down his spray cans and pick up the knitting needles, to make them himself.
Pretty patronising to the other people reading this...even by your low standards!

Heads Up, by neaksmate on Jul 18, 2007 0:33:03 GMT 1, P.P.S. Did you even know that he has a clothes line?
Or the colaboration with Maharishi?
Guess what, he didn't stitch these clothes together either:-
havenshop.ca/wordpress/?p=68
For those of you that just cant wait, here is a little sneaky preview of the forthcoming collection from the Futura Heavy Industries (FHI) collection which just gets better and better. Incase you`ve been away, FHI is the new collaboration project between Maharishi and the legend that is Futura.
Again, the collection can only be purchased through a select number of stores worldwide so watch this space for them dropping on our site.

Never said they was dude. Just letting people know of cheaper Futura works, as not everyone can afford £6k - £15k for the Elms pieces.
There were some guys visiting Elms when i was there, young kids really, not much money. I told them about these ones and they were well happy...two hours later i saw them again, this time in DPMHI...they were buying

Heads Up, by neaksmate on Jul 18, 2007 0:45:51 GMT 1, P.P.P.S. And why put IMO at the end of your message?
Who's opinion would it be, other than yours?
Maybe Ralph Pitt-Stanley's?
Oh, maybe Paul Fogarty...now it makes sense. So every message you write is that of other people...IMO of course.

Heads Up, by neaksmate on Jul 18, 2007 0:58:28 GMT 1, gtr8 pick Neaks loving some of Futura's work here glad to see some classic Neak / Nuart 'banter' has made it's way over here too
Too true...need to keep Nu on his toes. He's got his show on now i believe, so need to give him a load of shit just to stress him out and make his show that much harder.
He'll appreciate it in the long run.
Quite liking this dark-side business. Shame when i wrote the name of the other forum in my previous post, it got deleted.
I thought everyone was getting on like a house on fire these days.
Both sides on the Highway?

I've got quite a few.. and to be honest, people'd be better off stretching a Futura T-shirt over a box canvas and saving themselves a few quid. Either that or frame up some Mo'wax covers. The big canvasses though are sweet but very expensive..
An Neakes, do you have give heads up on any artists you haven't just spanked 10k on ? or is this part of your "game" strategy to keep your new "investments" buoyant ?
"hey everyone, I just spanked 10k on this artist, now can you poorer peasants go buy the 1000 quid ones cos I'm having doubts I've done the right thing"
lovin it

Heads Up, by neaksmate on Jul 18, 2007 10:14:43 GMT 1, Oh...hit a nerve did i Nu?
Maybe you're not the clever p*ick you make out to be?
How's that pathetic Nu Festival thing working out for you? Going well?
I hear you've rented a pub for the night and putting some free posters up? Sounds wicked mate...you must be so proud of what you'd achieved n your life.
Anyway...was not me that spent £10k on a Futura. I spent that on a Parla actually, the one that's just been featured in Dazed & Confused magazine, you know, the one that i own.
I bought some of the cheaper £500 Futura's. The ones that i have just told everyone else about. Bit of a novalty, but also a bit of history.
Don't need peasants to reassure me of my 'investment' dude. Quite sure of everything i buy...and not actually that bothered if no one else buys, as it leaves more for me.
Good luck with your shin dig. Sounds like a belter!
Stop with the smiley faces too dude...i think you're a mug (no smiley here)

Really, that's interesting to know. i checked both before and after and they seemed the same?
Or do you mean quite a while before the show they doubled?
Or maybe they have since and i hadn't noticed.
Anyway, i know the staff from DP went to the Elms show, so maybe they saw the prices and quickly went back and adjusted?
Can't blame them mind you...

I didn't realise they were out of sync?
Anyway, someone needs to put that retard in his place. He thinks he owns these forums and come on giving it the big 'I am'.
He thinks that because he has some knowledge it makes him an expert...but in reality, it simply makes him knowledgeable.
He also has a huge problem with people with money. Partly because he hasn't amounted to anything in his life and is therefore bitter about his failures, and partly because he pretends he's socialist and has to come across like that.
The reality is that he buys up Banksy's with his brother when they're cheap...holds on to them, then sells when they're worth a fortune. The worst hypocrite you will ever come across.
It's funny because on the OEF he used t get a good beating down here and there, just to remind him of how completely non important he is...just about time those beating started up again.
He's an arrogant Muppet, with no money or taste.

Jog on loser, you started out quite humble and seemed to be ok.. then started posting about your porsche and gold plated ipods, then about having "virtual friends" and this just being a game you can manipulate (it's not, these people are real), then you started buying "Graffiti" at swanky galleries 10 years too late, then started offloading the newer stuff when something more flavour of the month came up. I suspect you don't like art at all mate, just a bit of an obsessive collector with a bit of cash. You come across like an upmarket "Sales" exec buying pictures for your loft. You show nothing but your ignorance of this scene with every other post you make. I guess your a necessary evil in the development of the "street to gallery" scene, friend to gallery owners, but artists just tolerate you. You have the ethics of an Hyena and a bit of an onsessive/compulsive disorder that means you have to define yourself through the things you own.
Feel free to PM me so you don't bore the board with your half assed rants in reply.
Peace
