can see why there are so many punters anxiously awaiting authentication of their 'Banksies'. Owing to the fact that there is little artistic merit to Banksy's objet d'aft (one-look art for the eBay aesthetes), then some financial justification must be made for the purchase instead. If chavs collected art, it would be the likes of Banksy they'd gravitate towards, (him and that IKEA portrait of 'Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's' that you mention).

We all know banksy's 2d work but when something like this comes up its gotta be popular.
Plus all the connatations of this being banksys trademark figure yadda yada yada. big bucks. brad pitt etc etc.
you get the idea.....
