Who Can Afford Art?, by Daniel Silk on Oct 11, 2006 14:50:00 GMT 1, When I got my first Banksy print, an unsigned Turf War for about £50 that seemed such allot of money When I hear about people buying those new Four Soup Can prints for £3,000 each I just cant get my head round it I guess some people on here have really really good jobs paying 30-50 thousand a year and they can afford to spend that sort of money The only way I can have any chance of being able to get the pictures I want, is to be smart buy and sell a few prints. I know some people on here don't like people that sell stuff on ebay, and they moan about it But If your not rollin in money its the only way to make ends meet, and still be able to have a few pictures on the wall to enjoy ;D

Who Can Afford Art?, by danny123 on Oct 11, 2006 15:13:41 GMT 1, Silky, When you consider the amount some of the prints are going for from signed runs of 150, the soup can print is really quite good value - from a run of just 54. These prints also come with full prov from LAZ. Okay I am in a good position, have a good paying job and all that, but whats more important is that I really do like the print and the limited run also appeals to me.
it is hung on my wall and enjoyed every day, but that's not to say i don't look at it as an investment aswell, I aint gonna have a pension! thats a fact.
Cheers Danny
