JD vs FF, by a4mnt on Jun 22, 2007 10:12:07 GMT 1, Just pondering on why Judgement Day is not selling for as much as Friendly Fire.
I think both images are comparable, both being a lot stronger than the Angel Bombers in my opinion.
FF was £250 retail and trades are around 4-5x that price now, whereas JD was £300 and had until recently struggled to double and then triple its retail value (there's a deal being done on another thread for a sale at £850).
Does the larger edition of 500 JD really mean its prices have been kept lower? Even though its a huge print and possibly a more involving piece of art. Or do the extra colours on FF make it more desirable?
Hmmm. I'll go back to pondering now.

JD vs FF, by manchestermike on Jun 22, 2007 10:37:27 GMT 1, I've got them both and JD is better in some ways, it's so imposing and really shouts out to anyone who sees it, FF seems a higher quality print, with the hand finished touches... I love them both, but think I prefer FF at the moment...

JD vs FF, by alvington89 on Jun 22, 2007 11:57:55 GMT 1, I think the main downside from a practical perspective with JD is the physical size of it. (It's MASSIVE!!) That and the cost of framing it! I've got both FF and JD (both acquired direct from SG). I originally framed the FF with an outer mount and then had the JD done to match. It's a massive print anyway but with a 2 inch mount surround (it looks much better with it IMHO) and the frame it's 1.4 metres wide x 1.1 high. Room size and ceiling height need to be of grand proportions to accomodate properly. FF on the other hand, whilst still a big print is much more practical to accomodate within an ordinary mortals dwelling.

i dont think it was hand finished. was sold as a 3 colour screen print. black, red and gold. i think. you figure they would mention it (like SMS).

It's not hand-finished, unless they've kept it a big secret. Which they wouldn't.
