Provenance after eBay purchase, by Deleted on Jun 19, 2007 7:46:14 GMT 1, I bought my one and only Banksy print (signed CND) about a year and a half ago now - at the time I wanted it for the print rather than for investment reasons, and the price was well below the craziness of today. Because of that, I didn't even consider things like provenance and proof of purchase, other than noting that the print was blind-stamped.
Is there any way to confirm authenticity or proof of purchase well after the print was originally sold by PoW, and after its gone through eBay?
Hope that makes sense...
Jutty.

if the person who sold it to you via ebay was the first owner then his name should be registered with POW. You can contact them with your print number and ask who it is registered to. You can also try contacting the ebay member perhaps

Provenance after eBay purchase, by Montubu7 on Jun 19, 2007 8:58:14 GMT 1, They wont just tell you who the print is registered to, you would need to know the info of the seller ( or original owner) & pow will just say Yay or Nay!

Provenance after eBay purchase, by Deleted on Jun 20, 2007 2:31:50 GMT 1, So if I provide PoW with the details of the seller (who was the original purchaser from PoW) and the print details, then they should be able to confirm whether the print was sold by them to the seller?
Thanks for the advice guys, appreciate it.
