Stolen Prints, by banstock on May 20, 2007 12:25:55 GMT 1, Artrepublic in Brighton was broken into last night and the thieves stole 6 Banksy prints. The prints were Jack and Jill, Napalm, Morons, Virgin Mary, Gangsta Rat and Welcome to Hell.
Nothing else was stollen, this is just a heads up for people if they are offered any of these prints to seek full provenance. POW will know that the prints were sent to Artrepublic and Artrepublic always advise people to keep their receipt for insurance and provenance.

I don't get why they didn't touch anything else, i know the fact that obviously the Banksy's are worth more but wouldn't there be prints that are easier to shift without being caught.

Yeah, very true! They must have loads of stuff that would be worth just as much as those Banksy's makes you think they were stolen to order

I joked with the wife that someone must have stolen the Banksy prints (all unsigned as far as I know) there are few shops down that way that have had windows smashed over the last few weeks, so didn't think it was much more than drunken fools.
