Selling: EBAY vs. PICK UP, by johnerotten on May 28, 2007 21:48:53 GMT 1, what are the Pro's and Con's?
How much are FleaBay/PayPal fees on a 6k print(the going rate of signed these daze)?
Aren't people worried about getting jacked with their prints?
What is shadier, Fleabay or Street Deals?
What are people's opinions on wiring money to bank accounts?
I'm sure there are advantages and pitfalls to any method.

Selling: EBAY vs. PICK UP, by johnerotten on May 28, 2007 22:13:08 GMT 1, Thanks! ;D
but that is for seller's fees, right?
so if seller's fees on a US 6k print and fees are US 289
does the buyer pay almost the same amount in fees?
this adds up to alot of money. i don't know if it pays off a flight from LA to London though to trade/sell prints.

Selling: EBAY vs. PICK UP, by affart on May 28, 2007 22:47:43 GMT 1, Buyers dont pay any fees ( Paypal)
Its pricey selling via Paypal, personally when i have sold high value gear i dont use Paypal as there are a lot of terms & conditions which could leave me f**ked.
Its dependant on trust but for that much, arrange a few trades/sales & fly over & sample some fish & chips while your at it!

Selling: EBAY vs. PICK UP, by lesroy on May 28, 2007 23:36:19 GMT 1, I have bought and sold a fair few prints and done it voth ways Johnny.
I recently paid over £10k for a print and wanted to see/touch/smell etc before I got my money out. Paypal was out of the question as he wouldn't pay the fees, equally I didn't want to just turn up with cash in my pocket.
I went to the guys flat and immediately felt comfortable (Flash would be an understatement). I then felt a little stupid when I told him I didn't have the money but I could call a friend and he would have it to me in 10 mins!! lol
I have to admit thats whats I would do if I was in the same position again. Have someone else with the print/money and then do the deal.
Or just do the deal (with some mates to hand) in a public place, eg a large coffee shop. I wouldnt turn up alone with a £6k print.
Sorry to ramble, just my 2p worth

Selling: EBAY vs. PICK UP, by lesroy on May 29, 2007 1:11:54 GMT 1, DO NOT DO BANK TRANSFER!
I work for a bank and whilst the actual transfer is safe as houses... if you transferred £6k to my account its just your word against mine as to whether I actually sent or delivered the print.
Do NOT do it this way! I'm just looking out for you mate!

Selling: EBAY vs. PICK UP, by andrewd on May 29, 2007 9:51:04 GMT 1, And certainly don't take a bankers draft if you're selling! There's more moody drafts than fake / backdoor prints out there!
