Lurker out of the woodwork, by sherlock on May 22, 2007 20:33:35 GMT 1, Hi,
Have been a long time lurker and thought it was about time to reveal myself. Have been a big fan of Banksy for years, but stupidly haven't any yet. Do have several Micallefs and plan to buy more art in the future.
Have been spending most of my "art" money on contempory pottery and cornish art !!!! I blame my partner and her female influence. Anyway, hope to post more regularly but I am sure it will be quite sporadic.
Would love to put my avatar up but am being a bit dumb. A heads up would be much appreciated
Great board by the way ;D

Lurker out of the woodwork, by Octopus UK on May 22, 2007 20:43:52 GMT 1, Hi Sherlock, I'm sure you'll be able to hunt down some Banksy's soon. This is a great board and whilst I'm not a GREAT fan of Banksy, it has proved to be an interesting and stimulating place to hang out. I'm grateful that through this board I have been introduced to some interesting and delighfull art work.

Lurker out of the woodwork, by sherlock on May 22, 2007 21:08:56 GMT 1, Hi there
ABC, Troika is nice I agree. I have several Tim Andrew's pieces who lives near me in Devon. He worked with David Leach and his work is pretty cool. Also have other contempory pieces by Duncan Ross and Sam Hall. Each cost approx £200 so I could have bought a few prints to be honest. Regarding the headbanger, not sure how to place it in my profile !!
I agree with you octopusuk, this place is great to just look or lust after some amazing art, and get to know other about some more affordable artists too Ohh, and chat with other like minded individuals too

Lurker out of the woodwork, by ABC on May 22, 2007 21:21:27 GMT 1, Sherlock, there is a thread that will explain how to do your avatar. Basically you have to host it on something like photobucket.com. then paste the URL into your profile.

Lurker out of the woodwork, by teatwosugars on May 22, 2007 21:32:48 GMT 1, Hi Sherlock, welcome to the forum.
Revealing yourself is the difficult part (no smut please anyone! )- once you've done that you'll find yourself chatting away more than you thought (I know I have)!
It's never too late to own a Banksy (albeit a little more expensive than it used to be)! You'll find this is the best place to get the advice you need to make that purchase- you've just got to ignore that female influence (I'm well aware that it's easier said than done though)!!! ;D

Lurker out of the woodwork, by sherlock on May 22, 2007 22:14:35 GMT 1, Thanks for the warm welcome teatwosugars I will definitely be purchasing a Banksy asap, its just deciding which one I want Regarding "the power at be" aka the other half, I'm sure she can be pursuaded, especially if I buy her the handbag she wants. Could buy my first Banksy for the same price
