You're friend has an absolutely stunning collection. Plus nice job on the curation mate!
What's the story on the urinating Guard? Is that the one rumoured to be from Glastonbury?
That's two awesome private collections posted on the various forums over the last few days (this one and Moff's incredible Banksy collection on Wall Candy). I'm very jealous!

Home gallery revamp......., by marshman on May 22, 2007 10:18:33 GMT 1, He is a serious collector for sure - been in it long term but not all of it was when it came out. Bush is overlooking the bed, in fact that's my bedroom as I am looking after that canvas for him due to a slight lack of space at his place. You are right it is a bit unnerving waking up to it, but its the only space I have to place it so it will have to do until I can rearrange things.

Home gallery revamp......., by marshman on May 22, 2007 10:23:44 GMT 1, You should have seen the place before I got to it, purple and lime green walls and a rubber floor and padded ceiling. Revamped and laid oak flooring a lick of paint and a beautiful rail and light system later and you have a lovely space on which to hang beautiful things.
Yes the urinating Guard is the one from Glastonbury, it had been in the front room and was never one of my favourite pieces in his collection, but in this space with the lighting it looks amazing.

Home gallery revamp......., by marshman on May 22, 2007 14:17:18 GMT 1, Thanks for the welcome guys. Wish I had even a 10th of his collection. Ive got an unsigned Grannies and Applause and a few signed Blek's along with a bunch of other stuff I like but nothing this amazing.
The only problem I have is changing my mind about which signed print I would want to get my hands on....it used to be Happy Chopper but now I am liking Flying Copper a lot more....choices choices but not enough cash at the moment!!

I think the Aquarium re-issue is the "Nowhere Buses" (plural) and is on the page linked above (Curley - can you confirm?). At the price, I think it's a very good print buy. Though, I personally prefer the later version used on the Pretty Vacant cover.
You can pick up the Pretty Vacant version, as well as the Nowhere bus at Opus: www.opus-art.com . They're not cheap though.
Incidentally, did you see that Jamie Reid is doing a special signing at Aquarium next month? Apparently, there's going to be a very special print for the event. Jamie is a really cool guy and an absolute legend. Well worth attending me thinks.

ThursdayFeeling,
The 'Riot Copper' was actually the subject of my very first post on this Forum almost three months ago. It was listed on eBay at the end of February, until it was pulled in early March.
Copy and paste the whole of the following:
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D280087136420%26fvi%3D1&item=280087136420&rd=1
A number of people here were categoric in calling it a fake. I suspect it was simply because they hadn't seen one before. Of course, they could also have been bidding themselves.
banksyforum.proboards82.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ebaychat&thread=1172430141&page=1
I came in preaching and tut-tutting, generally saying "be careful of passing judgement on things you know little about". Amusingly, and perhaps not surprisingly, I ended up with a -2 or -3 "respect" score after that first post. You can only imagine what this did to my already low self-esteem. I hid away in my bedroom for days afterwards.
The piece in question was described on the eBay listing as a print. In fact, it was an acrylic and spraypaint original on cartridge paper (unsigned). Done as a gift by Banksy around the time of the 'Turf War' exhibition in Dalston in summer 2003. Just like the ones that were on the bridge at the start of Kingsland Road in Hoxton.
The piece was sold off-eBay for around two grand to a very nice chap. Didn't have enough cash or credit at the time, but great to see that it wasn't immediately on-sold.

I remember that, didn't sound too clever calling it a giclee then a screenprint it did sound like a mixed up con. If the seller had discribed it correctly in the first place I think it would have achieved a much higher price.

The Nowhere Busses is on the Aquarium Jamie Reid page you posted the link to. Over half way down, on the left hand side, in the Mayday Mayday section. As I said, at the price I think it's a good buy.
Opus Art is very expensive. Though, I've seen the classic Jamie Reid's (including the Giclees and other digital prints) fetch tidy sums right across the secondary market. Not surprising really given that Reid's works defined the entire punk movement. That said, he's not shy about churning out stuff and doing re-issues and so you're never really sure how limited the work you buy is. Irrelevant if you're spending £150, but if you're thinking about spending £1800 it becomes very relevant.

Thanks, I see it now, respect for the help. £145 that's more like it, but still a little pricey for an inkjet IMO, I'll have to have a think about this one.
