The Splasher Vs. Banksy in The New York Times, by ineedahermida on Jan 31, 2007 7:30:33 GMT 1, Here is an interesting article about "The Splasher" in The New York Times. I've seen lots of amazing work being destroyed by this ass in the past couple of weeks. It's a shame that he had destroy one of my favorite Banksy images.

The Splasher Vs. Banksy in The New York Times, by BK83 on Jan 31, 2007 18:39:40 GMT 1, WOw, That explains it then, I thought whoever had bought/leased the space where the Brooklyn Banksy was painted over the piece intentionally, but, to be honest, to hear that it was defaced is actually worse. I expect streetart to be buffed and I also expect that in time walls become collaged and in turn pieces dissapear underneath the apparent beauty of a collaged wall of streetart, but mindless acts of destruction like this under the guise of some kind of artistic expression are just terrible.
