Insurance, by saltandiron on Nov 7, 2006 11:58:50 GMT 1, Not the most exciting question that's ever been asked here but....
does everyone here insure their prints? Do you just put it onto your contents policy or do you take out a specific one? Also, how do you value your print? I've got a Christ with shopping bags and to be honest I'm not really sure how much its worth, do you just go with the last price you saw on ebay or what it would cost to replace(but then its not like you see many of these around)?

With most insurers you can take out a specific one. Usually for prints over ยฃ1500. (which is pretty much most of them now) Christ with Shopping Bags has to be worth 5k + I've reinsured a couple of times as prices have risen. Usually they'll just ask for artists name and description of print. Hope that helps

Insurance, by gm on Nov 7, 2006 13:36:15 GMT 1, None of mine are insured.
I could pay however much year after year after year and never have anything untoward happen to any of them. I'd see that as a waste of money.
If anything does happen to any of them, well, I've had however many months/years worth of enjoyment from them, and what would I have really lost other than what I paid for them originally?

Insurance, by crack on Nov 7, 2006 14:04:29 GMT 1, ....I really need to get mine insured. I approached POW for receipts (none have ever been issued) only to be told that I should have printed these off of the website at the time.
Furry Muff. Just not too sure how my insurance coy will view this (as to provenance?)

They should be happy with your bank/CC statements

Lets hope they don't pinch the computer too ;D Of course if you were really anal you'd leave all important paper work at a seperate address! Where do you stop?
