Do girls like Banksy? , by AoT Framing on Sept 5, 2006 18:18:34 GMT 1, Apart from GWB my girlfriend dislkes every banksy print I own. We're due to have a baby next month and my suggestion of having J&J and Napalm in the nursery didn't go down at all well!She thinks my BME is crap, Laugh/Golf/CND/Get Out/I fought, pointless but sort of likes Barcode. Ironically the first print I bought was GWB for her christmas present which led to my collecting. I now cannot believe that I actually argued with Artrepublic over how simple a print it was for the ยฃ350 price tag, saying it would have only taken a few seconds to make.... Now I have to put all my collection in one room, which sort of makes it like a banksy shrine which is a bit weird. Anyone else found themselves arguing with their partner to hang their prints?

Do girls like Banksy? , by Daniel Silk on Sept 5, 2006 18:37:55 GMT 1, Yeah, I think Banksy Pictures are a bit too political for some peoples tastes  Some people just like pictures of fields on a sunny day, with little cottages and roses in the garden 
I like Banksy prints coz they have a message about the real world thats strong and clear  Its no messing with a Banksy, straight to the point ;D
You put a Banksy on the wall next to a Country Scene watercolour and see what one gets the most attention when ya friends come round ;D

She won the argument and I have 3 Frmaed Banksy's, 1 Eelus, 1x Nick Walker and an Anthony Michaleff..... all in the smallest bedroom/office!
One day I'll wear her down!

1 - My tours - have been about 50/50 male/female......
2 - My photo sales - Started off mainly men, but then loads of women... have never counted it up but I would guess it's about 60% women buyers so far.... and there is no obvious pattern to what people buy (e.g. women buying the fluffier graffiti)

My husband likes banksy/eelus etc-but would never pay out ( i guess it beats spending money on shoes and handbags).
