Thugs For Life Canvas?, by gm on Sept 18, 2006 16:45:45 GMT 1, I noticed at Lunchtime that Urban Outfitters in Oxford Street has a canvas of the Clerkenwell Rd Thugs on the wall. Didn't have time to go in for a proper look or to ask about it, and I don't know if it's for sale or just part of the decor.
I don't recall having seen or heard about a Thugs canvas. Has Banksy ever done one, or do you reckon it's a home-made job? I'm estimating it's about 50x30cm.
I'll post a crappy phone photo on here when I get home.

I know the original piece very well and It's not a photo, unless the photo's been fiddled with. And it's on canvas. I know you can get photos printed on to canvas. This is possibly what they've done, but I was wondering if there was such a thing as a 'real' Thugs on canvas.

Thugs For Life Canvas?, by mido on Sept 19, 2006 21:14:13 GMT 1, there is a shop on the edge of spitalfields that sells lots of canvases based on colour photos of Banksy graffiti. Called Smudge Gallery I think. They also send out sellers around the locality to sell them on the local streets as well.
It could be one of theirs?
I've never seen 'thugs' as a real canvas.
