A culprit publicly gloating , by guggi on Sept 8, 2006 14:40:07 GMT 1, In the September issue of the Sussex Enterprise magazine Business Edge there is a 3 page feature article entitled the business of Art. On one of the pages there is a sub section where some geezer, called Anthony Foster, mouths off about how much money he is making from buying up Banksy prints and selling them on ebay. Couldn't believe the audacity of the blokeโฆ.. spouting this info to the business community of Sussexโฆ.. as if there are not already enough Anthony Fosters anyway! 
The article reads:
Money for your art
Anthony Foster, a 26 year old Planning Consultant from London, has a lucrative sideline buying and selling modern art. By buying limited edition prints from a brighton gallery, artrepublic, he can auction them on ebay for up to three times the price.
Anthony recently bought a number of Banksy prints before the limited editions sold out. The 'CND Soldiers' and 'Jack and Jill' were bought for ยฃ95 each and sold within 3 months for ยฃ300 and ยฃ350, respectively, on ebay.
"I think it's important to like the art and not just buy art to make money. I have Gorrilaz by Jamie Hewlett up on my wall at home, which I plan to sell at some stage - I just like it up at the moment. I tend to buy limited editions from emerging artists and I just can't find anywhere like artrepublic in London." says Anthony.

We get people asking us to do adverts for our company disguised as write up' all the time.
"I just can't find anywhere like artrepublic in London". I wonder who that is directed at?
