Just popped my Jack & jill into the framers. Im goiong from a matt black aluminium frame.
The print is being kept away from the glass by an acid free spacer and will have some acid free card behind it with a PH Neutral backing.
Wham bam, thank you mam.... ยฃ80!
How does that sound to you lot?
The guy seemed very knowledgeable but 80 sheets is alot of dough and Im not sure i'd go to that extent on the smaller less expensive Cauty's, Eelus etc?

Got it Framed.... Pricey!!, by foundation on Jul 16, 2006 21:47:27 GMT 1, As a cheaper but effective option, most frame shops ( as opose to framers), those places on the high street / homebase / ikea etc do some nice large frames, 100/70 etc... Going to a framers and getting them to cut a mount to your desired size with acid free backing sheeting should cost about 5-12 quid, with 30 quid for the frame.
I got 45/30 frames for my Cauty's at 9 quid each the mounts were about a fiver and art shops sell acid free sheeting well cheap. They ended up costing less than 20 quid each to frame and look the mutt's nuts, the only down side is they dont have UV protective glass, but they are all hung out of direct sunlight so should fare better than nothing at all.

They are based in Ipswich where I live. I rang around 5 local framers and these were the most knowledgeable and friendly.
The old boy that completed the work said...
man: "So tell me about this Blakey then"...
me: "Sorry, tell you about who?"
man: "Blakey, What do you know about him?"
me: "Arrr you mean Banksy!"
