Old Banksy... Yep I'm gonna sell it..., by scottrox27 on Jul 3, 2006 19:31:28 GMT 1, Hello there. I've got quite an old Banksy print that I'm thinking of selling. Times are hard, you know how it is... I bought the print from a shop called Analogue in Edinburgh in 2001 (if I remember rightly?!). Its the classic Flower Thrower image in black (and white) on a red background. It's numbered 382/500. I've been checking Ebay regularly for ages to try and see what these are fetching, but I haven't seen one on there!!! I think they must be quite rare now?
If anybody can share any info, I would be a happy man... :)

In saying that, they're usually looking for a bargain so they can try and mark it up.. probabaly better off with a real banksy fan looking to pay a fair price who's gonna give it a good home ;D

yeah, but I wouldn't be trying to rip him off, would prefer it was bought on here by a fan of his work and not just someone who wants to turn a quick profit  it is a Banksy appreciation site if I'm not mistaken foundation.

Not too sure where you get off implying that the folk on the ebay site are only in it for the money, when you spend a fair amount of time over there. Not having a pop but it has made me wonder, that balloon girl photo a few weeks back, getting in touch with the seller and buying what you thought was a signed print for 800 pounds, that does not seem like not ripping of a seller to me.

Nah, you misunderstood mate.. I was offering the guy advice, he came on ebay saying he was looking to maybe sell a print, just advised him that he could sell it on here too..didn't say anything about not selling it on ebay.. just mentioned that there were now quite a lot of dealers looking to buy is all-- and BTW: The vast majority of my collection was bought in 03/04
As for getting skanked on ebay, goes with the territory I guess, and he named his price. 800 quid for a print that costs 50 quid is a good return no ?

Have you become a veteran collector overnight?

As for the 800 quid photo.. etc etc.. I paid the price for being greedy so can't see why you'd have an issue with that mate ! lesson learned is all.. singed but not burnt
