Prints for sale with charity donation, by corblimeylimey on Jul 2, 2007 13:20:26 GMT 1, Ok I've cropped photo's and edited the blurb so no copyright card can be used to stop the auction and set it to start again at 7.30pm tonight to give it the best chance of a good sale (finishing monday evening). Here's the link... cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250138473232Trying to stop an auction that will help a blind person get the necessary operation to make them see again is pretty damn low. Feeling a bit angry about that one.
Still not working.

Don't think it will until the listing starts at 7.30

yep mate - pretty low - just shows the lengths people are willing to go to in the pursuit of a bit of green.
there's another one up as a charity auction now. i'm first bidder on yours - won't get near to it (i hope somebody smashes what i have bid to maximise the money going to charity) but at least you should be assured that the costs plus a little bit for charity is covered.
good luck ;D

He he. Yeah the mushrooms grew well. I tell you they're allot sweeter when you eat them freshly picked. We get so removed from the process of growing things we forget what its like and rarely appreciate the joys of food straight from the field / cupboard ;D .

Nope, it was just a bit of hastle thats all. It may have been that ebay will automatically pull any auctions that uses the same image and the wording is 90% similar for copyright reasons. So I'm hoping the robots are to blame and not the humans. Much nicer thought anyway.

Prints for sale with charity donation, by finsburyparkranger on Jul 9, 2007 8:31:36 GMT 1, Dface charity print is ending auction tonight. All profits to charity, please bid genersously and give the gift of sight....
250138473232
PS This print seems to be getting lower bids than any of the other Dface prints currently. Could this be because there is no advantage for the seller to shill bid when all the profits are going to charity?

Prints for sale with charity donation, by finsburyparkranger on Jul 9, 2007 18:36:04 GMT 1, I think the hangover from two nights ago is still causing problems. Damn i'm getting dragged out to go swimming now (I tried arguing i was in no fit state but that argument seems to have backfired). Be back soon.

Prints for sale with charity donation, by finsburyparkranger on Jul 9, 2007 20:09:11 GMT 1, Dface charity print ยฃ290 final sale. Thats ยฃ145 for Orbis. That could mean the sale of one print has paid for ...
One ORBIS trained eye doctor to spend a week treating patients in poor rural areas in Vietnam, two sight saving cataract operations on an adult in India and distribute sight saving antibiotics to 18 children in Ethiopia with some money spare.
Also becasue its been gift aided the government has to cough up at least 10 % more.
It was a shame the auction didn't go higher so some funds could have made there way to the human development organisation (HDO). Although I'm sure others will be raising a good few quid for them in due course.
