Potential New Banksy Street Piece in Bethnal Green, by trowel on Oct 29, 2007 18:17:35 GMT 1, Slight derailment sorry, but I'm not sure if this piece at the bottom of St Michael's Hill been posted before and it's a 'potential' - though my initial impression is that it isn't Banksy, but it is only over the road from the Sniper & Kid...
Doesn't strike me as his style, but it's pretty well done.

Way the double yellow lines twist up the wall - and the shading on the painter (Banksys work seems to be a lot more skillfully shaded and uses subtle colour more than his old stuff)
Funnily enough, I stumbled across the Cat and Rat piece recently - I'd seen pics, but hadn't seen it in the flesh as it were - The funny thing is, I go down that paticular street all the time for lunch. (mmmmm Indian Food stall or old Italian guy stall.)
Was a real suprise to come face to face with it and think 'bloody hell, never realised that was here'
