think about it, when it got destroyed Banksy came back to paint over it, the pub owns some of his work....they know banksy!! they wouldn't sell it. IMO they are are referblishing it.
they put up a protective frame over it to stop people destroying it and to let people admire it.
not everyone is evil in this industry

I suppose you could also argue that if it was commissioned then whoever had this piece painted, where the majority of Brighton visitors would see it, did Banksy no end of good as far as publicity goes and in fact was supporting him as an artist before many of us.

It's his wall and he's entitled to sell it. I have a feeling that the piece was semi commissioned, Banksy asked permission and Chris paid for the paint.

I suppose it will be a shame to see it go ... but I heard that it would be traced first and a copy repainted on the new wall.
