There is a rule not to go over work, but i thought it finished...unless you're gonna better whats there already? and um 8 or 9 artists as far afield as ontario, poland and even newcastle  doesnt that count as better?? i was lovin the dtc stuff around town and I know he had a piece up already but couldnt he had waited another few months before making his statement? i spent the day watching the stuff go up, it had real potential as a fantastic wall, even the elderly neighbours liked the stuff going up!!!! i will have to think again next time i see a dtc piece in town, its a pity a lot of great art has been lost, m-city, snub, fark, hush, hutch, bandit....

I caught a train into London just to take some photos of this wall. (which was an official wall for artists involved with the Cans Festival to paint). I arrived after a 2 hour journey only to see it being painted over by DTC. I said "I've come a long way to see that M-City piece only to find you painting over it!" To which he replied. "Well I'm just reclaiming it as I was here first, anyway there's plenty of other walls they could have painted".
Make what you will of that but that was the conversation in full.

Maybe DTC had a good reason to do what he done. may be he never, maybe he' just a real vandal who f**ks s**t up and has done for years?
I don't know DTC's reasons but lets not forget that most of the art we like is labeled as vandalism and it's 'not supposed' to be done let alone protected. Thats probably one of the reasons we like it even more.
Maybe MCity should get back to the spot and paint over DTC's piece. And then maybe DTC should paint back over that again! Alls fair in Love and War

However, I was really pleased to see further down the wall that he'd decided to spare my piece that I did with R1 after 'Cans'.
As for the rule of wall space at 'Cans'. One of my pieces there lasted 2 days before Tek13 decided to paint there piece directly over half of it. Oh well.....Such is life...and as anyone who's got a lot of stuff up on the street will tell ya, this is part of the game. Any scroat out there can get hold of a can of paint, and they usually do...!

Yup agreed. And that mattress is spectacular.
