"BOMB-IT" Graffiti/Street Art Documentary , by johnerotten on Jul 23, 2007 23:49:00 GMT 1, Anyone interested in Street Art should check out the links below.
I am working for director Jon Reiss who directed NIN, Slayer, and Danzig, and the feature documentary about the rave scene entitled "Better Living Through Circuitry."
All of your favorite street artists are interviewed including Obey, Blek Le Rat and others, EXCEPT BANKSY. He declined the interview. (supposedly he is filming a documentary about himself).
The film is entitled Bomb-It and covers several continents and over 10 cities.
Check out the website and trailers. We are shopping it around as we speak and are planning a 25 city theatrical release in March of 2008.
All 5 screenings at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC sold out in May of this year.

Ha ha.. say hi to Jon, we've been discussing screening this in Norway with him this September as part of Nuart, seems the exec producers wouldn't go for it, something about only wanting "large media cities".. ah well. Hopefully get a time coded copy for private viewing when he comes back from his travels.
Jon's also done a great interview with Blek for Swindle..

"BOMB-IT" Graffiti/Street Art Documentary , by johnerotten on Jul 25, 2007 1:13:43 GMT 1, Maybe Banksy should leave the filmmaking to filmmakers.
At least his street art is cool and do we really need to know anything more about Banksy or his motivation than we already know? Probably not.
I think he knows what alot of us know, which is that his mystery and illusiveness gives his art that much more of an aoura of mystery and subversiveness. Plus he is BREAKING THE LAW so probably wants to be on the DL.
