Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by Smith and Stuff on Sept 15, 2011 18:23:33 GMT 1, I've been making prints in small editions as a bit of a hobby/side line for a year or so now, mainly just the pleasure of creating something also bringing an idea to life as a multiple object.
All were screen printed by myself at print club in Dalston last year, the London Maps have a gold & silver leaf detail, the bulbs glow in the dark with phosphorescent ink & the kingfisher has hand finished glazed eyel. If anyone is interested in knowing more, send me a pm. All in low editions, fabriano paper & quality inks & of course with very reasonable prices
Thanks

Just been emailed this:
This guy does origami with dollar bills and lives in a converted garbage truck. Be sure you scroll to the end of this e-mail to look at photos of inside his truck! Won Park is the master of origami. He is also called the money folder, a practitioner of origami whose canvas is the United States One Dollar Bill. Bending, twisting, and folding, he creates life-like shapes in stunning detail.

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by xmyart on Sept 18, 2011 12:44:32 GMT 1, CG i like what I'm seeing and seeing that I've seen more than most have seen of your doodles I'm giving them the thumbs up. I ran out of 'seen and seeing' options. I tried to play guitar, when I was homeless, i used to go out, do a bit of busking. the only song I could play was Wonderwall by Oasis. So i used to play it 100 times day. Got a lot of laughs from local workers and shoppers, but made some cash out of that tune. Possibly more than anyone 'not' in the industry. Good job the singing was a bit better. You may think that anyone can play guitar or be an artist of talent. But just because most people can pick up a paint brush or a guitar doesn't really make that statement true. I know a man who definatley couldn't pay guitar(but he'll be driving soon) . This thread is what it is for 'Amatuer's'. It takes bollocks to show work for the first time and I know a man with Balls of steel.
Slammer, did you used to busk in Brighton by any chance?

I personnally don't make any difference between a "red star artist" and an "amateur artist" if art is made with all the artist's heart...

It's kinda like your jumping on the bandwagon a bit and seems against the spirit of the thread(imo). If you see yourself as amature then why did you ask for a red star? I thought red star members were pro artists? ......I don't understand the red star thing if that's the case.

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by Cedric Mnich on Sept 18, 2011 23:10:05 GMT 1, I don't think I ever asked for a red star. If I ever did, which I can't remember, that was definitely a stupid thing to do. An artist is someone who produces art. Amateur or pro. I don't know what is the signification of red stars here and you should ask to Silky. I really don't bother about "badges" anyway. Besides I don't see how I am jumping on any bandwagon and how I could be against the spirit of that thread. I posted 2 pics and I'm a thread hijacker ? WTF.
If there is any moderator around here, feel free to move my previous posts to my own "Red star artist ghetto personal thread". Artists, get back in your pro threads please, it's amateur here.
......srsly ??

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by Warm Gun on Sept 18, 2011 23:26:42 GMT 1, Didn't personally call you a hijacker dude.
I just don't understand why a professional artist (not just you) who sells his own work via his own professional website needs to post examples of his work and promote himself on a thread that was intended for amateurs to show their own amature work. Not in the spirit dear boy, you're either a pro who makes a living from their art or you're not..surely?
I understand if you say your paste ups were amature (as you've never done them before) but some of the pieces on here that artists have posted pictures of seem to be up for sale on their sites. That doesn't really seem to be in the spirit of the thread.
