I think is a pretty good rule and if everybody adheres to it (including myself) and we have no Ebay links then the 100 posts section will be less cluttered with sales.
If you go down through the sales section a significant proportion are Ebay related. No need to bump them all with this message as that might defeat the purpose of the reminder.
The Obey forum has a no bump rule for all sales threads until 1 month has elapsed. I quite like that one.

I'm not a fan of the way they do things on Obey. It is too restrictive and I love reading the feedback from others. Sure sometimes things get out of hand, but most threads are respectful some members add very important insight about the items for sale and the sellers.
