Keep It Spotless, by missinglink on May 19, 2011 15:56:17 GMT 1, Has someone more information about this work? Was it a collaboration with Hirst or did he just take one of his artworks? Or did he paint the spots all by himself?

Keep It Spotless, by lee3 on May 19, 2011 16:00:19 GMT 1, Keep it spotless and Improved spot painting are both collaborative works with Hirst. Collaborative from the point of view that they are both stencils and paint on top of Hirst spot paintings, but yes both of them are attributed to Banksy & Hirst.

Keep It Spotless, by missinglink on May 19, 2011 16:46:04 GMT 1, so hirst gave them to banksy to overpaint them? or did he acquire the pieces from the secondary market? are there some other banksy/hirst-collaborations? i've noticed that there was a duo-show with them in switzerland. any more information about that? thanks!

Most likely Hirst gave them to Banksy to overpaint for collaborative purposes but I can't say that for certain. It's doubtful Banksy paid for either (maybe after the sale of improved spot painting?)and Keep it spotless was donated to charity anyway. To the best of my knowledge Hirst and Banksy have never done a show together. Some of Hirst's collection which includes some nice Banksy's were exhibited a few years ago; however, I believe you are referring to the Andipa show recently in Switzerland. I never even saw photos from that show but it consisted entirely of secondary market work from both artists as that gallery is not affiliated with either one.
