Framing Question, by nacional on May 20, 2011 12:56:43 GMT 1, Bit of a dull question for Friday.
When I get my prints framed in the UK always go to top end framers and never have actually looked at how they mount the print within the frame in terms of getting the thing to stay there.
Now I am in Buenos Aires and am getting a couple of Banksy's framed and do not have the same trust in the framers here.
So, my question is...how does the print get put on what might be called the backboard...is it with some type of tape, some type of glue...I am a bit clueless here and would appreciate some help...
cheers all

Framing Question, by craigf on May 20, 2011 13:24:31 GMT 1, Ideally the print will not have any adhesives at all and mylar corners or similar will be used to hold it next to the mount. The backboard should just be giving some stability rather than being attached. Obviously if float mounting its not possible not to use a level of adhesives between the backing board and print
