Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by sbash on Apr 8, 2020 21:31:54 GMT 1, Just out of curiosity, you mention you've been investing in Banksy over the 'last years'. I would assume in that case, that you would have kept receipts or some proof of purchase form whom ever you bought these prints from (especially as your doing this as a business?!). This might help your defence if you could share....
It is just stunning how muchs**t can go over you out of nothing. Nearly 5000 people have viewed this thread. I am sure someone have an original and could point out if there would be something wrong, apart from the fact that I have a several prints in good condition, and with the extras. It is also in my interest to know if there is really something wrong. Why in a world people are jumping into conclusions and trying to accuse and discredit without asking and clarifying facts first. It started even before I posted pictures. I have been actively investing in Banksy memorabilia over last years, as the prices are going up steady. Is this is really so unbelievable? I invest in the same things that sells well for me, this is why I have multiple amount of items. I am carefully sourcing all of them and rarely would buy if items are not in very good condition. Currently I also started buying stik and looking to invest in kaws. I am aspired to grow a portfolio and possibly turn it into a business. I don't mean to prove anything right now, just stressed and grieved and needed to let it out.

I have seen these prints before on eBay. They are different. They have different shade and less detailed. It is better visible on smoke. I never owned or held in hands any of these and I can not say anything regarding its authenticity. I am not sure whether it was part of the batch or reproduction.

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by astbury on Apr 8, 2020 23:36:14 GMT 1, It is kept rolled in a tube "as issued" my friend. I keep prints that doesn't have original packaging in my own tubes, which are very strong, unlike usual postage tubes. For more photos please see ebay listing. Best regards
Looking at the photo you shared, you have at least 8? of these in "your own tubes"? apart from the ones you have in the original tubes? Which for anyone that doesn't know they didn't come in a tube, they came in a plastic sleeve.

There are not only petrol bomb prints in these tubes on the picture. I posted earlier that I didn't understand what had happened to raise the suggestion that your posters were not legit. However as there seem to be various people suddenly offering stockpiles of these, all with similar provenance to yours, it's not looking so good. It might be worth coming clean about where you've acquired these if you want to retain credibility. I have never lied about anything. I never seen these to be offered in a stockpiles. If you send me a link I can look at it and comment.

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by vad77 on Apr 9, 2020 1:38:02 GMT 1, There is a listing for one of these prints. Sold by large seller on eBay. It has some kind of personal COA promising guarantee that print was purchased directly from Anarchist Bookfair. My prints seems to look exactly the same, from what I can see on the pictures. As you can notice it is different from the one posted earlier (the one sold in Palestine). (Only for £4875 )

If I am acquiring prints rolled, I usually do not flatten them myself. I keep them rolled. Just to avoid risk of unnecessary stress, by flattening and rolling. And these prints have nice finish which is easy to damage. I never found it to be a problem before, but I will take it on board!

I never found it to be a problem before, but I will take it on board! I think you're risking more damage by keeping them stored in tubes than re-rolling them. I had to find a place to store a print which was 1.3m by 1m, that took some doing. I then had to transport it to the framers flat in the back of the car, which was also nerve-wrecking. But I wasn't going to try and roll it again.
Whenever I receive a print, the first thing I do is take it out of the tube and inspect it, then store it flat and put the tube away. I can't imagine having a print in a tube for such a long time. But hey, that's me.
