Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by irl1 on Apr 8, 2020 14:47:29 GMT 1, Make sure you claim the item is fake, not you think it's fake. ebay have a rule when a buyer claims the item is fake you will be refunded. You will not have to prove it's fake. That’s a wack response and taking advantage of the system in place to deal with real fakes. Not a change of heart two months after a sale has been completed. Read through the whole thread. If i purchased one from him I'd want my money back too

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by irl1 on Apr 8, 2020 14:59:09 GMT 1, I read the thread. Waiting two months to address it is shady, ANYTHING could have been done to that print during that time. Would you buy one from this seller? Why has he not put them in auction
Selling the same item (more so this one) multiple times on ebay is always a red flag
100% feedback makes no difference on this one as there are loads of people who can't tell a real one from a fake and the seller knows this
* He also passed the buck saying he was selling for someone else *

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by mattyg on Apr 8, 2020 15:35:15 GMT 1, I read the thread. Waiting two months to address it is shady, ANYTHING could have been done to that print during that time. Kramer – I respectfully disagree with this.
I'm not sure where this two months has come from – it was just over six weeks from when the print arrived at my home (not from when I opened it) to me raising my concerns with the seller. The timeframe is somewhat irrelevant though, as it would be possible to do something nefarious to a print within 1 hour of receiving it, no? I'm not sure of your point/the relevance here tbh?
You're saying I changed my mind. I can tell you that isn't true. I simply can't afford to drop £850 on a print that isn't authentic. If you can, OK. If you think that's unreasonable, OK.
Perhaps you would have it that I or any others buyers who have unknowingly bought fake prints from sellers should realise this and report it instantly, but that isn't reasonable in my opinion. Whatever either of us think, the fact is that the protections around buying counterfeit items through eBay/PayPal extend for a reasonable period of time for good reasons.

Yes, indeed over the last couple years I was selling these in multiple places not just on ebay. Though, I guess ebay is prefered because of convenience.
These prints never had any problem with submissions on auction or anywhere else. I have numerous emails to prove it.
Yes, I previously sold it to someone who know how the originals look or had his own copies.
I never meant to pass the buck as you noted. Consigning an art is a common practice. For every sale I make, I take full responsibility.

Just a genuine question - I've read the entire thread, and I'm not sure where the accusations of the prints being fake have come from. Is it because the seller has sold multiple of these? Is there something in particular that doesn't look right with your print? I have one of these and the photos posted by the seller look very similar to mine - does the one that you have received look different? I'm struggling to understand where this has all come from. Thank you, you are just on point! I also wish to understand if there really is anything wrong with these and how it wasn't an issue before

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by mattyg on Apr 8, 2020 15:56:08 GMT 1, Let's say you bought a print for £850, Kramer.
It wasn't immediately obvious this print was not authentic based on your knowledge of the edition and/or you didn't open it immediately because, you know, you had other things on.
You later realise the print you paid £850 for is not authentic. You privately approach the seller (and OP on this thread, let's not forget), who won't guarantee it is authentic. Is that on you? Or would you exercise the buyer protection put in place for good reason and get your £850 back?

Why don’t you post pictures of your “fake”? I’m sure many people with genuine ones will be happy to compare and help you out.

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by mattyg on Apr 8, 2020 16:11:01 GMT 1, The seller has literally refused to guarantee that the print he sold me is genuine. In this thread and privately. I appreciate these don't come with a COA, but any art dealer/flipper should be able to stand by what they are selling, no? Especially when they are selling multiples of the same edition... That's my opinion.

Not many still have them. Prints I am selling have some of them. It is not a proof or a guarantee by no means and my claims of print authenticity are not based on that.

How many is he selling and is there a flyer for each? All very strange as few people thought to pick up a flyer at the time.

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by Lunch Special on Apr 8, 2020 16:47:44 GMT 1, if mine wasn't in storage due to the lack of wall space in my new apartment id take pics and what not.
But to be honest, most purchases com back with a money back guarantee or a return within a certain time frame, INCLUDING EBAY where in as its sold as is or final sale, which is either a red flag or a mutual understanding / agreement between buyer and seller.
but cmon mattyg or whatever your corny name is, 6 weeks and you admitting to having the item in possession but didnt open up until later because you had other things on the table or whatever cockamani story you saying and changing up to now. but wait, what if an when the £5 offset digitally printed litho ( fancy name for a poster on glossy paper ) comes back as genuine would you say "hey V my bad can i pay you what we agreed on and send me back the tesco petrol bomb print" lmaooooo gtfohwtbs
i know you must be rich living your best life cause if i bought anything for 850 pounds on the internet i would of been waiting by the mailbox until it arrived and opened it IMMEDIATELY to make sure i got what i paid for....but thats just me, i guess that makes me weird and different....
if its fake and vadim knows then Vadim you must return that man his money ONCE the same print you shipped to him in the same condition arrives back safely to you and only then.
plain and simple, you wanna continue on this forum then you do what you know is the right thing to do. Or you get banned and change block your ip and sing up again. like so many or all the other cats on here be doing.
IF you 10000000000% certain its real then only paypal will be able to decide the truth and hold on to your guns. But please have photos of the print you sent to mattyg ready to show you received the same print back or didnt. and remember there is only one issuing and appointed authority that can say whether it is real or not.
PC
and thats all fucks!

if its fake and vadim knows then Vadim you must return that man his money ONCE the same print you shipped to him in the same condition arrives back safely to you and only then.
plain and simple, you wanna continue on this forum then you do what you know is the right thing to do.

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by Lazarus II on Apr 8, 2020 16:51:33 GMT 1, Its Strange, a fella i know in palestine is now selling these with the same "provenance", he must be getting them off his mates in bristol too Flyer, sticker and badge are some of the things that people used to keep as provenance that they attended event where prints were released. Not many still have them. Prints I am selling have some of them. It is not a proof or a guarantee by no means and my claims of print authenticity are not based on that. declare the experts who have reviewed them as it will assist (or not) in providing good provenance.

Banksy • Tesco Petrol Bomb Poster, by vad77 on Apr 8, 2020 16:53:57 GMT 1, I've had probably the same message as others this weekend offering 6 yes SIX Petrol Bomb posters all with the flyer as provenance and coming from an interesting source! There is NO WAY I would be buying one of these.
Only one is offer for sale at the moment. But I have few in stock and I am planning to sell them till the end of the year. I have been acquiring these for years and selling for around 2 years now, not since this weekend. These are some of the best examples I have left. All prints are without any damage and with extras. Some have flyer and sticker and some have, flyer sticker and badge.
In fact with these prints I started collecting and later selling Banksy's ephimera. I do have also other banksy prints and memorabilia.

I declared the most recent one to Matt already. If he will ask I will send him everything I can find, with all the emails and contacts. I will also declare it to PayPal if necessary.
