Because without a real one to compare to how is anyone to know they have been sold a fake?
That was the initial purpose of this thread to help educate people on what to look for.
The version I received was so poor as was the flyer that accompanied that it was laughable, if it hadn't cost me ยฃ1000.
The flyer was a poor copy that had been screwed up and then flattened out to make it look aged.

By contrast, I posted pictures of mine on here after I had it framed and all the comments just said it looked nice.
I thought I knew what to look for, based on posts I'd read here, and didn't realise mine was fake. I think because most of the examples I'd seen were fake.

So if Tateward have sold 14 how many has Nick Clark / Lobster sold over the last 3 years, most of the PMs I have had are from people who bought direct, including myself.
If Nick contacts a losing bidder on a Petrol Bomb in a Tateward auction and then sells a poster to them who is that sale attributed to?
How are you now able to check if they are genuine? Nicks explanation to me was that Tate have taken loads in and the staff were overwhelmed and didn't know what to look for so fakes have slipped through.
Are you now suggesting that of the 14 sold, some may be fake and some may be real and they should be sent back for inspection for your expert analysis. If you have the luxury of seeing a real and fake together a 4 year old could spot the difference. So unless you have never had a real one in your possession this is total incompetence and a lack of due dillegence.

And finally will you be publicly disclosing how many pieces you have investigated, and intend to investigate and how many turned out to be fraudulent?
I for one would like to regain some faith in Tate Ward and their employees. At present I am finding it very difficult spot to do, as I know there will be many people sitting unknowingly, seriously out of pocket.

I saw a flyer of WOH banksy Nativity...
Easy to reproduce no ( he I did not said they did ), I have the real ๐dove sheet to colored.. A secret friend sent it to me I a registrated /tracked tube without asking ( as GDP first copies โ flyers โ )...
A thing is sure about the dove sheet, itโs easy to know the fake and the real, but I wonโt tell.
Just saying, that we always know at the end what is fake or not ..
( saw the Xmas postcard too, not expensive at all on their website. Why ? )

that would be like asking gp prints to stop selling ap prints ! There is Clearly a strong market for these , And as a business all sales and profits count
Some people feel uneasy purchasing from eBay or conducting a private sale and feel
Comfortable with an auction house conducting the transaction as feel a level of security and trust Unfortunately the person in charge overlooked the finer details of authentication .
With the amount of sales made and profits from this line surely could of sourced a genuine one with receipt , real provenance and kept in-house as a reference?
