Think arctic monkeys are a bit past it now, their live performances these days are nothing like what they used to be.
New Friendly Fires album was also a disappointment.

I enjoyed them at the main stage of Reading a few years back, thought they were great but that particular set was full of early energetic stuff.

It currently doesn't sound as immediately addictive as 'Favorite worst nightmare' was and is more along the lines of 'humbug', although does also sounds different to that as well.
I reckon it'll be a grower and end up in my top 20 of the year.

They played a lot of stuff from my fav worst nightmare and whatever people think.. first seven songs from the new album (great live!).. A lot of interaction with the audience and an insane crowd!
the accent was on the energetic jumpable stuff, the crowd loved that.. but also songs like 505 (beautiful!) and cornerstone were not forgotten..
one of the best shows I've seen, the band is now live more interesting than on the albums, so hopefully a live cd/dvd with a show like this!
