DeckโOn Street Art produces a limited edition series of skateboard triptychs imagined and created by street artists.
The first limited edition, with a numbered series was conceived by the talented MIST, TILT and LโATLAS between 2007 and 2008.
In 2011 the project came back with a much more successful concept. As of April that year, every first Thursday of the month a new skateboard triptych, limited to 30 copies, was made available online. Each triptych is signed by hand and a serial number is engraved on the backside.
Today you can find the triptychs edtion 2011 on www.last-concept.com, there are only a few copies left.
With the best French street artists : Alรซxone, Gum, Jace, Jef Aรฉrosol, Mist, Nasty, Sunset, Smash137, Speedy Graphito, Tanc, Tilt.
Once a year in December an exhibition is held to showcase the triptychs edtion as well as original works produced especially for the event.
Coming up next in April 2012, a new series is in sight with French and international artists.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about some original skateboard decks that we'll be releasing through the Get Up Gallery online store on 07/11/12 at 1pm PST (getupgallery.bigcartel.com/). These decks are part of the show at Get Up Gallery titled "LVSK8 Six" which brings together 50 artists from around the world spanning various genres of art.
Some artists that you may be familiar with include Jason Thielke, Imbue, Tim Oliveira, David Blake, Steve Whelan and Wale Bambose. Other artists participating that you very well may hear from soon include Greg Frederick, Tanya Watler, Snipt and Jelaine Faunce.
Prices range from $50 to $1250, and there is a little something here for everyone. All purchased decks will ship 2-3 weeks after the completion of the LVSK8 Six show.
If you are in Las Vegas between now and July 28th, 2102, be sure to drop by Get Up Gallery (www.getupgallery.com) and see the show in person.

Anyone got a spare? Sent an email as soon as I saw this, but got an email this morning saying they had a few left... but were ebaying them ! Same here. I sent him an email and he sent me a link to an ebay listing. It looks like he has sold some in the past on ebay but not for much more than the listed price. His email to me said he has had so many inquiries the past few days he was only going to sell them on ebay now. He did mention in the email that there might be another deck coming this summer, but I wonder how keen the artists will be to work with him again if he is just going to pedal them on the bay. |
