You tried contacting Mode2.. the artists will be well pissed off and could probably exert a little pressure for you.

Just a piece of wood with the 4 bolts through for support, ive painted the bolts the colour of the deck and the wood the colour of the wall its going on so it wont be as obvious when walking past as looking down the side (as our misses said, how often is that going to happen)
On those pics im yet to drill two holes in to hold it to the wall.

I've seen a few skate decks designed by some good artists popping up, some with laser etched into the wood etc, although I can't remember what artists were doing that kind of stuff.
I've got a young work experience lad in, he's into graf and mysterious al style illustration, got him designing his own logo and helping us out with cups of tea! Thinking of getting him an arty skate deck for his wall as a congratulations at the end of the week.
