That's getting away from the point... I'd never heard of Richard Simmons before either, so it was interesting to see his work in the same show. Here's his write-up from the pdf.

Rich Simmons (1986 - ) is part of a new wave of street artists emerging from the UK. He uses an intricately detailed stencil style to convey his irreverent sense of humour. His self imposed mission to change peoples views on different subject matters stems from an autistic background in which Simmons had to communicate his thoughts on the world through visual channels. He became a global name after creating a piece of work depicting Prince William and Kate Middleton as Sid and Nancy from the Sex Pistols. This โFuture ***Kingโ piece created a media stir on every continent and made people aware of the Simmonsโ style of work and ability to create iconic imagery. He also founded an art therapy movement, Art Is The Cure, in 2008 to help other people find a cure to problems in a similar way that the artist himself did. Anyways, you live and learn... interesting how his profile has suddenly jumped to 'a global name' and he's 'created a stir across every continent'!

Yes, now herein lies my problem too.
First I dont think his work is very good. But that is just imo of course.
Second I dont like all the pompous bragging - Banksy uses this many layers...... but I use so many layers......
Third, where is the ground work, the building up of talent, and awareness, the graft, etc? ..... unless I am mistaken, he seems to have barged into the limelight.

yeah exactly what i meant it looks like he is just doing it for the fame and attention which personally i dont think street art should be about fame is just a by product of the work.
