Opinions on framing tools (point driver & joiner), by sal on Jun 30, 2011 13:55:42 GMT 1, Im thinking of buying some more framing tools, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the following:
Logan F500-2: Dual Drive Elite - www.logangraphic.com/products/framingtools/dualdrive.shtml - I guess this one should be suitable for most home framing projects..
Logan F300-1: Studio Joiner - www.logangraphic.com/products/framingtools/studiojoiner.shtml - I was wondering how handy and actually useful this one is, and also, can I use it for bigger size frames (up to 40 inches)
thanks everyone!

Opinions on framing tools (point driver & joiner), by iamzero on Jun 30, 2011 20:07:01 GMT 1, I've just bought some equipment from framers corner last week to start to try and frame my prints. I have a Bosch mitre saw that I use for work for the mitres so I thought I'd buy a Logan mat cutter and a frame stapler.
Just trying to do some research on the correct tapes to attatch artwork, I visited a few framers around where I live and lots of them use tapes that the online forums really recommend you not to use but that's the world of internet forums I guess. Slowly learning though, I'm gonna start with a few low cost prints before I attempt my Charming Baker though.
If anyone has any recommendations on conservation tapes or which straight forward black or white mouldings most galleries use then I love to hear about them.
Here's hoping...
