Banksy prints ( price guide ), by Rolex on Jul 3, 2011 0:32:40 GMT 1, Can anyone tell me why there is no currant price guide on the forum, I seem to remember reading something a while back but can't find it, I can't see why posting a purchased price along with date of purchase is such a bad thing. Shorly this would help sellers & buyers alike. Thoughts anyone?

Good for buyer & seller. & I also think most people on the forum are smart enough to know when someone is trying to abuse it.

Banksy prints ( price guide ), by Warm Gun on Jul 3, 2011 21:11:32 GMT 1, I think it's a case of doing your own research on previous prices, ebay go's back a month on completed listings, espresso beans has some sales figures (as mentioned), you can search auction house listings, maybe even look at gallery prices and deduct 20% or so, no one should be daft enough to pay £4k plus for a s&s.............. failing that, just ask Howlinhooker
edit, from looking at some of your previous posts you seem more than up on current Banksy prices anyway.

Banksy prints ( price guide ), by freddy on Jul 3, 2011 21:37:56 GMT 1, A standardized priceguide is also not the aim of what art should be about imo... Some people are for sure willing to pay other than market prices, just because they LIKE the piece. And in the end, isn't it sometimes a little uncertainty that makes it more exciting?

Regarding my posts, I think my prices are realistic as a realitivly new buyer but some sellers prices are clearly not. Ps where on expressobeans do you find there price guides.

Banksy prints ( price guide ), by Young Squire on Jul 4, 2011 9:34:30 GMT 1, What a print is "worth" in the market, what a buyer is willing to pay and what a seller is willing to let a piece go for can vary massively.
EB is a good guide but ut shouldn't stop someone offering a S&S for £4k plus if that is what their bottom limit is.

If someone puts a piece up for sale for 2k over the "current" guide then im sure they are aware and not interested in a fast sale but rather holding out for a price they want.

spot on i'd say. It wasn't long ago you could pick up an unsigned trollies for 600ish remember, i certainly wouldnt pay anymore than 1g for one now.... and even that seems strong to me..... (not looking for one before the offers flood in).

There's little value in a straw poll as open to manipulation (allegedly).

Daniel Silk • The number or Boards and Threads continues to fall as we simplify the layout of the forum.
Daniel Silk • I hear a lot of Artists complaining about Instagram in the past year, how it used to be a good tool for Artists, but it's not good anymore, is that true?
anyaart • For Brett Kern fans, I noticed there is a spinosaurus for sale on E-Bay. It's a limited edition, one of only 60 made. This is the rarest of his dinosaurs. I am not the seller. I already have the same dino purchased in 2016. I've never seen one up for sale
Daniel Silk • Apology • Sorry I have been offline this past few weeks, due to a very bad Fever. I'm slowly getting better, step by step, and catching up with things here on the forum on the days I'm well enough. Thank you for your understanding.
Boy Wonder • I read that they were more or less nicked the same day they went up. Loads of fakes exist.
milou2 • Would love to see any photos of Banksy's first exhibition at the Severnshed in Bristol (2000). Who was there?*
jirr • Hi all, over here in the states. Pandemic put me out of business, need to sell this asap. Please send offers thanks so much
matgab • Steven Harrington - Gotcha first ed for sale.
1nkling • I can't help but think that a more reasonable tier for people who just want to support the work you guys do would raise more income. Then other tiers for those that want specialist benefits.
1nkling • As soon as I saw the heading for the email I thought 'Oh yeah, I use that place a lot. I'd happily support it'. Not at £40 a month though. I have a paid sub for a Formula 1 site I use that is very active. They have a high uptake on subs at £12 a year.
1nkling • Pricing on the new supporters sub seems a bit poorly thought out. £40 a month to have a pinned sale thread being the only listed benefit?
Daniel Silk • The forum now has more than half the number of Boards than it had a year ago! As we work towards simplifying the layout.
