Looking to take the wife to New York for her 30th and would love to go see a Knicks game.
Can any of our resident Americans tell me how easy it is to get tickets, for around christmas time?
Also how do you buy them and when do they go on sale?

It was an exhibition match/friendly but was awesome. Got the tickets a couple of days before from Madison Sq Gdns. I suppose you just need to check the fixtures and plan around it but just to say yanks really interact with their crowds at sporting events especially during breaks / half times, and its well worth going, defo one of our favourite memories of New York along with "Wicked" at the Gershwin.

Well it looks like the NBA have finally stopped arguing over billions of dollars so I now need to find 2 tickets for the NY Knicks game on Christmas Day.
Can any of the New Yorkers out there help me get some or point me in the right direction.

I opted to pick them up from Madison Square Gardens from the ticket booths before tip-off. Really easy, no problems - I just took my printed receipt and credit card I'd purchased them with and the tickets were waiting for me.
Or, if you can also buy tickets from the NFL shop on 5th avenue - but not sure how available they are near game time.

They said that it was the 300 odd sell out in a row(number made up, could have been higher or lower). There were however loads of vacant seats. you'll have no problem. the cheer leaders were about the best thing, from what i can remember. I prefered watching Baseball. that was wicked.

they are sold by tickets holders who are stuck with the seats or are not going to the event - supply and demand wins out with this process.

New York Knicks, by victorwilliams on Nov 28, 2011 19:30:44 GMT 1, I'll add that the square gardens isn't as big as you would think. I went last year to watch Knicks v Magic, our seats were almost the back row but you could see really well. It a great experience, enjoy!
