There is some grafiti and sprays on the walls but I would advise you against it. If you get done it is not pleasant and nor are the nicks, fines or bribes to get out.
However if you talk to Bar Owners and stuff you may well be able to do some slightly more official stuff which as a first time might suffice.
There is some though especially around sukumvit and koh San i think long time meaning years since I went to koh san area.

My advice to you is to stay of the beaten track - Routes up to Chang Mai etc. are about as culturally stimulating as a trip to bogna. Buses across to Combodia and over to Laos are cheap, frequent and well worth doing. I'd especially advise Luang Prabang (spelling?) in Laos and Sianoukville in Combodia as Koh Chang as a nice, less ridiculous Thai island. Didn't see much in terms of street art in Bangkok other than a few really nice big pieces down by the tour boat jetties by 'ALEXFACE'. Very, very jealous!

the busride to cambodia was one of the most incredible experience....dusty, loud, only one stop, and a road nobody on here would call a road lol
