Invader Ohh Alright Print, by The True Cubs Fan on Jul 5, 2017 4:23:22 GMT 1, 'Can anyone tell me "why" it's better to store flat than in the original tube?'... look at the state of the curling of the print ...ย I bet you had trouble even getting it that flat? ... also an increased risk of creasing the print/paper, while trying to man-handle it ... ... paper fibres have a 'memory' so it will take quite a while for the print to now flatten out, even enough to be held behind a mount for framimg ... ... on thicker inks (not this print), the ink would have dried in the curled 'shape' and therefore when flattened may well have cracked and probably peel off ... ... THE MAIN REASON though not to keep it in a tube ... is when you buy a piece of art is to get it up on the wall ...
Worth reading through the thread just for this I knew it was a bad idea to keep prints rolled up, but now I have some actual reasoning. I finally can explain why I have a stack of prints flat in the other room waiting to go to the framer instead of in the tubes. Hopefully this'll help with the frustration from my wife ๐

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by uncle on Nov 14, 2017 0:13:31 GMT 1, After the successful sale of my IK15, I'm now looking to let my Oh Alright go.
I had this listed and sold in November last year, but the sale fell through for logistical reasons. This is now back for sale.
Oh... Alright 58 x 59 cm Edition of 150 Signed
Stored flat since purchase Minty Fresh
SOLD
Don't see these come up so this price is based on recent advice and also taking into account what I'd let her go for. This one has had a safe home, but needs to be framed up on the wall - so now is you chance to pick one up.
I'm happy to talk prices via PM, feel free to get in touch.
Pic is from my phone, but I can provide hi-res images as required via PM.
Oh.. and I'm based in London, face to face deals preferred.
Cheers!

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by uncle on Nov 14, 2017 0:50:16 GMT 1, Thanks CAL - I know, and agree, storing this beauty all this time is not cool!
Wall space at my place is a premium (its one in, one out), I had always held onto this to have it framed up in the kitchen when I had it knocked through, as it looks best with a bit of distance - however, a large HM got the spot instead!

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by uncle on Nov 21, 2017 19:56:57 GMT 1, IK15 is hold, pending a meet up in London this week.
Oh... Alright was sold but due to difficulties with paypal payments from the US (Paypal wanted to hold the funds for up to 21 days!!), it is now available again..
Anyone out there missed out on the lottery, have some spare cash to drop on a lovely Invader!?
London face-to-face meet up preferred.
Cheers!

Why does paypal say it takes 21 days? This is the second invader seller on here that reached a deal in the us and they had the 3 week issue.

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by uncle on Nov 23, 2017 11:42:00 GMT 1, I know, its a bit of a 'legit scam' if you ask me. They get to hold onto large sums of money for a s long as possible, making money from interest all the while.
Imagine doing that on thousands or transactions every day would add up to quite a bit!
The problem is, and they know this, how else can you make a purchase over long distance with some form of protection for the buyer and seller!?

How many times has it happened where the seller never sent the items and PayPal had to refund the buyer. The service can accept certain risks but 10k is beyond that threshold.

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by Express Post on Nov 24, 2017 2:47:37 GMT 1, Due to tightening of anti-money laundering laws, all non-banks have tight procedures which they need to follow. Because the transaction was above a certain threshold, subject to jurisdiction, the value would have triggered additional vetting. Bank to bank transfers are quicker because the beneficiary is an existing customer and has been KYC'd as too has the payor from the originating bank.
Crypto is the fastest way, however there is no recourse if the seller does a runner.

Yes, that makes sense and as a buyer I can see how this is fair.
However, the part I don't get is how Paypal can justify holding the funds up to 21 days after the item has been received! Having looked into it some more it seems that once the item is received by the buyer, you can apply for the funds to be released within 72 hrs.
Shame this isn't very clear as this policy has meant I backed out of a sale with a trusted member on the forum which I now regret.
Oh Alright still available, by the way.
Cheers!
