This was the 'headline' piece from Death & Glory, D's first solo show. It was by far the most expensive piece there and unlike later works was also a 1/1 unique piece. It's a truly stunning and iconic work and I absolutely love it.

I am aware that prices have tumbled, but considering I sold my Cli-che canvas for £14k (1/4 similar editions) a couple of years ago, I feel this piece is actually worth more than that and am prepared to wait, we'll see.

I have had the pleasure of owning this piece for 5 years and have considered selling it seriously twice; it is after all a 'luxury item' and there are simply times in life that other things become greater priorities including family, home and other personal circumstances that require constant funding.

Quite simply when times are good I've bought nice things that I like, when times get tough you kinda have to sell!?

However, I really fail to see what my reason for selling has anything whatsoever to do with the value of the painting - surely that's up to any prospective buyer to decide for themselves?

And I am selling many other things that I love - I just thought this was the most relevant to the forum - anyone want to buy a (lock up) garage in Tufnell Park (London N19)? A 1966 Sunbeam Alpine SV? Some incredibly rare Jean Clemmer AP's of Dali? An original Moreau oil? An original Warhol Red Lenin?

And that is over and above the dozens of prints inc D*Face, Banksy, Paul Insect, Micallef, Lucy McLaughlan, Beejoir, etc, that I would rather keep as a reminder of the 'good times' but may well have to sell in the future!?
