I see ther is a lot on here do you have to get your work in a museum or a gallery or something be for you get your name in big bright lights. I've been doing art on un off for years and no one nos my name so will I ever be classed as a artist

Very interesting question. In photography I believe there is a rule of thumb that if you are paid for around 25% of your work then your a professional? For me, yes you can be an artist for a living but it can also be a vocation.

I've sold or giving away every piece I've ever done as I see if someone likes it they can have it. I'm never greedy and only cover costs as I only do this for fun not as a job. The art I do is a bit different to photography so look like I will need to get my work out ther a bit more for more people to enjoy. When i learn how to screen print you will see a lot more affordable art for everyone to enjoy  watch this space
