The show in France was an instant sellout and I didnt risk my flight down due to ash-cloud.
His stuff is very funny, still looking at his books regularly.

The asking price is too high currently. There are works available from his Dec-10 show and even his last show did not sell out completely. Okay the best works did sell but there are some good pieces still available. If the prices drop I will reconsider.

Don't think it was over-priced at all. His bigger formats have sold out instantly in Toulouse but there were not that many. Hopefully he's working hard to produce more because there's still a massive shortage of his artworks IMO...

Could be wrong, but i asked if they'd stand the test of time and was given no answer..... doesn't help you make a decision IMO.

Might appear that way but i understand it to be that Banksy will showcase artists he feels have paid dues on the streets.Hence the xmas show
It's not as if Dran is brand new to this and making a quick buck a little research will tell you he has been getting up for a long time
Prices with someone with a trackable history of getting up were more than fair imo, that's if it's fair to draw comparisons with forum artists

Not sure I would be brave enough to apply this to his canvas/newspaper works. Specially on a work that has cost bewteen ยฃ1.6/ยฃ2k (price for these 40x50cm newspaper works on canvas)
I really do like his work but I was told Euro 6k for commissions for a reasonable sized canvas and was told for anything around 80x80cm my offer of ยฃ3k was no were near the mark. That seems a tad overpriced IMO.

True i wouldn't apply a clear gesso finish personally, though if it were mentioned to the artist in question....(not on newspaper though)
