If they listed it on their site for 300 vs it selling on ebay for 300 the difference is significant with bloody ebay.

disregarding the tone in your post, the reason i really like stik is because it's so prevalent where i live (east london) and everyday i walk by my favorite one on my way to work.
even though i can enjoy his street work every day, i'd love to have one for not only now, but when i eventually move back to the states.

So if both go for say ยฃ200ish, then that would appear to be their secondary market value so there would be no point buying one and relisting for ยฃ300 as there wouldn't be the demand at that price. It's quite simple and a good idea by Squarity. It does give everyone a chance too - the other ones went in seconds on Squarity website so I missed out, whereas this way I have a chance. Whats the problem folks???

I bought one of the Blue one on ebay (last week) at ยฃ175 just to give you an indication...

again, we had this conversation on the other stik thread...i don't think there's anything wrong with flipping so really this reads as a way to get the most money for the gallery (fine with that too...really, fine with anyone maximising their profit, call me a free market capitalist).

eg - if Banksy released new prints at their "true market value" of say 3k instead of ยฃ450, I don't think you would see loads on eBay for 10k+. Naturally you would get a few chancers and a few people desperate for the image willing to pay, but by and large they would just be bought at source by collectors wanting them on their walls and not flippers who can see a quick and easy profit with no risk. Not that i'm suggesting he does that!!
