I emailed him and asked if i could pay cash on collection and he said 'no problem'. There are various other things that he said that make me think he is genuine. Last 21CL on ebay went for 3.7k in May if memory serves me correctly, at the time the galleries wanted 5.5k. They got snapped up shortly after and the most expensive one I know of sold for 7.5k when there were still all 3 prints left at LAZ! So what is it worth now? IMO the most desireable of all the Micallef prints?!
Only reason I know all this is cuz I was trying to get a copy for a couple of months! I know where there is a copy with a small crease in it and the owner wants 6k+ for it!

Yeh but none of those from Laz are available at £4750 any more, so not really eggs for eggs. I recon if any of those came up you would be looking at £6.5k - £7k, 21 century love at around £8-£9k...

Probably because there's a lot available. Doesn't help when some works are being advertised for ridiculous BIN prices and don't end up selling.

At the time it felt like maybe I was overpaying a bit. But I loved the image so much that it didn't sting as badly as I thought it would. Now that everything at Laz is sold out, it seems like the price I got may actually have been a bargain. In my opinion, this is the most classic Micallef print there is. Wouldn't be surprised if it was worth north of 10 K in Sept. But even for that price, I would never let it go. This one is staying with me forever.

Be serious about the LAZ prints though, you can not say it was 2 weeks ago so the price is not comparable! How can you value them at 6-7k or whatever when you havnt seen any sell at this, you are persuming that Mic's prints demand a certain percentage greater than the cost price??
So if a run of 100 were released at 15k then they would be on ebay for 25k??? i dont see your logic?
