There is a F***ing Insect living in my frame!, by skitchy on Sept 11, 2011 17:42:15 GMT 1, As the title says there is an insect living in my boxed frame.
This was framed maybe 2-3 weeks ago by a well established London framer which I will not name and I have been very happy with it until I noticed this little bugger sitting in it.
The back is completely sealed so not certain how he got in (I live in a new build concrete flat) so im guessing maybe from the wood frame itself!?
Is he going to start eating the print?? will the bugs multiply?
Advice please!?

There is a F***ing Insect living in my frame!, by sand on Sept 11, 2011 19:36:21 GMT 1, looks like a booklice to me, could have been from the framing workshop.
don't worry to much about it.
i would return it to the framer and get them to sort it out (perhaps ask for the mounts to be replaced and have the frame sprayed with 'Raid' insecticide and left to air for a while before the print is put back in).

There is a F***ing Insect living in my frame!, by johnnyh on Sept 12, 2011 5:50:54 GMT 1, To save taking it back. If you take your frame down and carefully lay flat on the floor. Preferably out of direct sunlight. Best to lay 180 degrees to the wall. Inspect closely then jump as high as you can landing directly on the little Bast@%d This will generally stop him/her eating anything.

But seriously skitch, get it back to the framer's and let them take it out, like sand described.
