Invader removal, by stickitup on Jun 10, 2011 12:37:15 GMT 1, Ok heres the thing, my house had illigitamately an invader piece put up on it, I like the piece and it has been there for several months but I am having to remove it for painting and repairs, with this in mind is it wrong for me to remove it and sell it? I am not thinking I will sell it, I'd rather hang it on an interior wall, its just ethically removing street works and putting them on ebay and the like is frowned upon, what you you think, in theory of course?

art done on the street is meant to stay there (until they are buffed/ruined/damaged by weather), not to go on ebay.

Retile your bathroom Invader style, build a patio in the garden with a huge Invader in it you can see on google earth. Buy a table top Space Invader machine & have an Invader party round your house.

It depends wether you still want to allow the piece to be enjoyed by everyone? or want to keep it to yourself.
Reading your post you don't seem like the sort of person who would choose the latter.
At the end of the day the ball is in your court.....it's now your property, (sort of), so you can do whatever you want with the piece.
To be frank, if it stays on the side of your place someone will steal it eventually.....that's the nature of street art.
If it was on my property I would paint around it, and get a sheet of 10mm Perspex cut to the same size as the piece, and put it over it to protect it.

And whoever took it left a right old mess on my wall  The invader shape was in a green star.
