dface originals, by biggayal on May 16, 2007 11:15:35 GMT 1, Quite a difficult this one d313p.... These 2 pieces have been on ebay before in the last few months & haven't sold. Each time the seller has started the bidding at a very high price (IMO!) therefore not attracting any bids as far as I'm aware. The last D*Face canvas sold for £2500 ish but had no provenance/solid proof of purchase as it was a piece from the 'Finders Keepers' show a few years back. With some of D*s earlier work now becoming more sought after, they are probably worth in the region of £7000 This is just my prediction and you may find a more accurate estimate from any members who own or who have sold any of D*s originals........ None of this really matters though, as I cannot afford either of them

Maybe some cruel f**ker could make a 'Best offer' of 1p so he wont be able to amend the listing/price at a later date............

dface originals, by manchestermike on May 16, 2007 11:33:08 GMT 1, Think £7,000 is pushing it a bit to be honest... well, pushing it a lot.
Maybe in the future, but now... hmmm

Maybe in the future, but now... hmmm It would be interesting to see how the auction ran if it started at 99p then we could guage the price from there , but as none/very few originals have been sold through the 'bay it's hard to estimate accurately. On reflection manchestermike, I do also think that £7k is pretty steep at the moment for D*s work - maybe somewhere nearer the £4k mark..... It does beg the question though of why the seller is setting the starting bid at such a ridiculously high price in the first place......

dface originals, by romanywg on May 16, 2007 13:50:04 GMT 1, These were the last pieces to be sold at his show and everything else had sold out....so some fly by night is trying to make some big cash back...again. The pieces are probably worth just about what he paid for them which I seem to recall was £3k and £5k. Not D's best work IMO.

dface originals, by biggayal on May 16, 2007 15:06:03 GMT 1, Totally agree romanywg - it's the worst 2 originals that I've seen from D* to date......Think the seller will be stuck with them for quite a while if they keep trying to sell at such an extremely high start price...
