I am particular fond of the 'The Thinker Mondrian' and the Van Gogh inspired 'The Starry Night'. Anyone else trying for one of these? The Me Myself & I sets look cool too. I have featured these releases on my blog, go check it out if you have time... and the 'Vandalized Sophia' is a great price!!

Quitr agree with you on the mondrian, but generally I think his commercially-driven art is stale and unoriginal, somewhat similar to nick walker.

I look forward to yet another corrupted Warhol in the next release thread.
As for pilfering others' work? It's probably fine under fair use laws as satire. It's hard to envision anyone buying Random's work as a substitute for the originals, so it's unlikely to cause any financial harm to the artists he's satirizing (if that's what we want to call it). Good for him for pulling the work when faced with complaints, however.

There's nothing wrong with incorporating pop imagery into artwork. The problem with KR's work is that it's incredibly boring, facile, and derivative. It's the kind of junk sold at any frame shop. It's not thoughtful. It's not smart. It's not original. It's not even particularly aesthetically pleasing (in my opinion).
I'll fess up to liking "Hard Times". It's not great art, but the graffiti on the dog house plays off Snoopy's malaise in a redeeming way. It's good for a chuckle at least.
