Shill bidding is rampant. The papers are writing about it currently. People should know - when you bid on ebay especially with art you are often bidding against the seller. Not always but far too often. Actually its so rampant and easy to do that ebay should just be honest and legitimate it, then everyone would know where they stand.

there is nothing wrong, in fact it is extremely positive, in highlighting suspicious activity but any conjecture is pointless.
the various opinions and views on the whole conspiracy theory thing have been well and truly exhausted, so shall we save this thread exclusively for actual cases of foul-play and not for the million-and-one theories that go with it.
dubious numbering, signatures, shill-bidding etc and infomation on how to contact ebay to report this activity would be the most constructive outcome IMO.
